As the Labor Day Weekend approaches, you begin to wonder what to do with the family and friends, who will be visiting from out of town over the holiday weekend. The traditional holiday barbecue is always a good option for one of the days, but what can you do outside the normal holiday activities?
The Hamilton County Tourism Staff wrote a great article, 15 Things to Do for Labor Day Weekend in Hamilton County, Indiana (https://www.visithamiltoncounty.com/blog/post/things-to-do-for-labor-day-weekend-in-hamilton-county-indiana) that says “Hamilton County is ideal for a weekend getaway with family or friends. Soak up the sunshine and enjoy the final days of summer with our list of things to do for Labor Day weekend in Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville and Westfield, Indiana.”
I have included a few activities from the list recommended by The Hamilton County Tourism Staff:
Things to Do for Labor Day
*Dine at a local restaurant offering a three-course, value-priced menu for Devour Indy Summerfest.
*Catch a concert at Kroger Symphony on the Prairie.
*Spend Saturday morning at one of the local farmers’ markets picking up fresh produce and other artisan products.
*Walk or bike along the Monon Trail, which stretches north to Sheridan and connects south to Broad Ripple and Indianapolis.
*Splash around at the Monon Waterpark to soak up the final days of summer.
*Canoe down the White River with White River Canoe Company.
